A number of agencies have developed funding programs and opportunities in an effort to aid in the prevention of methamphetamine use, treatment of methamphetamine abuse, and enforcement of meth-related laws. The MethResources site contains information about these programs, including the following:
Brownfields and
Land Revitalization
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Brownfields and Land
Revitalization program provides funding to prevent, assess, safely
clean up, and sustainably reuse contaminated property.
Drug-Free Communities Support
Program
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)
and Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) Drug-Free Communities
Support Program provides grants to community coalitions to help them
identify and respond to local substance abuse problems.
Methamphetamine
Initiatives
The Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) Methamphetamine
Initiatives program provides grants to help state and local law enforcement
agencies reduce the production, distribution, and use of methamphetamine.
